Reduced Spousal Maintenance
November 17, 2014
Mr. Thomas represented Husband, a wealthy professional. Wife wanted $10,000 per month in spousal maintenance (alimony). Mr. Thomas convinced the trial judge that Wife should receive far less than what she was requesting. The judge awarded her only $3,000 per month, not $10,000 per month. This kind of result is quite common when Mr. Thomas is representing the spouse defending against having to pay a large amount of spousal maintenance or child support.
